Students will use the Honeywell UniSim Design Suite to create a process design to solve a critical plant business issue. Students must demonstrate creativity, innovation, and detail the benefits derived from their solution.

Prof. Fikar was awarded the Professor of the Year 2010 by the Rector of the Slovak University of Technology in Bratislava.

Academic senate of the Faculty elected assoc. prof. Ing. Monika Bakošová, PhD as vice-dean for academic affairs. We congratulate and wish success. At the same time we want to thank for her work as a Deputy head of the Department in which she was succeeded by assoc. prof. Ing. Ján Dvoran, CSc.

Our department co-organises a workshop in NIL project on January 10-16, 2011.

The diploma thesis of Ivana Rauová was awarded as the best diploma thesis by the Society of chemical and pharmaceutical industries of the Slovak republic.

Robert Taraba's diploma thesis was awarded as the best thesis of the year 2010 by the refinery Slovnaft, one of the largest industrial entities in Slovakia.

The diploma thesis of Juraj Oravec was awarded as the best diploma thesis by the Fermas, Ltd.
