Juraj Holaza recieved his the MSc and PhD degrees in process control from the Slovak University of Technology in Bratislava (STUBA), Slovakia, in 2012 and 2016, respectively, both information engineering and process control. During his study he recieved several awards from Dean and Rector of STUBA as well as from Student Scientific Conferences. Between 2016-2018 he worked as a researcher at the STUBA. Since 2018 he works in the aerospace industry as a Systems Engineer at Honeywell, where he is also the inventor of an industrial patent. Currently, he holds the position of Assistant Professor at STU.
His research interests encompass various aspects of control theory, including (implicit/explicit/robust/distributed) model predictive controllers, embedded optimization and control, and reference governors. He is the primary developer of the MPT+ Toolbox for advanced model predictive control synthesis. His publication record includes four journal papers in leading Control and Cybernetics (CC) journals and over 20 contributions to internationally recognized peer-reviewed conferences.
