Abstract
Control problem of a 4 column distillation process with quaternary azeotropic extractive separation of non-ideal mixture is studied. Compensation of internal recycle loop gain is proposed through adaptive gain tuning technique. Ethanol concentration control courses are simulated using extractive agent flow rate as manipulated variable.
