A SIMULATION MODEL OF CERAMIC TILES PRODUCTION

Abstract

Ceramic tiles production is a typical serial production. Range of product portfolio of such manufactures is pretty wide; it includes hundreds tile variants differing from each other by size and pattern of the tile and type and colour of used glaze. This paper describes dynamic simulation model of such a production line created in Witness 2004 simulator. The model can be used for simulation experiments such as cost optimization of the process or capacity utilization optimization of production facilities.
