ROBUST CONTROL OF A CHEMICAL REACTOR IN AN UNSTABLE STEADY STATEBAKOŠOVÁ, M.; PUNA, D. Abstract In this paper, the possibility to stabilize a chemical reactor in an unstable steady state using robust static output feedback will be presented. The reactor is an exothermic continuous-time stirred tank reactor (CSTR) with two parallel first-order chemical reactions. The goal is to find robust stabilizing output feedback controller, which can guarantee a control cost. The problem of finding of a stabilizing robust controller can be transformed into solving a set of linear matrix inequalities.
