THE STUDY OF HUMAN EYE EXPOSURE BY INFRARED LIGHT

NEUMANN, P.; ADÁMEK, M.; MATÝSEK, M.

Abstract

There are some indications that myopia progress could be accelerated by infrared exposure. The clinical study has proved that the glasses with inbuilt infrared filters can stop or at least notably slow down the myopia progress. We cooperate with ophtalmic specialists in that long term study. Our area of research is aimed at the methods and the equipment design for filtering efficiency evaluation and infrared radiation exposure measurement and monitoring. We are working on the measurement methods and monitoring procedures for analysing and categorization in different areas of human activities. We have tested various sensors and signal processing circuits. The infrared exposure features of different environments and its time behaviour can notably influence and improve the eye protective means.
