ESTIMATION OF FRACTAL DIMENSION IN IMAGE ANALYSISMUDROVÁ, M.; KOLÍNOVÁ, M.; PROCHÁZKA, A. Abstract The paper presents methods of fractal dimension estimation with respect to image classification. Various methods of fractal dimension evaluation in binary and grayscale images are introduced at first and results of classification are compared for various parameters of values selection. In conclusion, possibilities of fractal dimension use are dicussed as a classification criterion in analysis of images representing environmental pollution by means of monitoring of selected biological structures.
