On October 18-20, 2023, IAM masters students trained at the Training Center in Litvínov, Czech Republic. The training led by expert practitioners was focused on the process control of industrial plants. Our students improved their knowledge and practical skills necessary for addressing the industrial challenges.
Presentation of the Institute of Information Engineering, Automation, and Mathematics, FCHPT STU discussions about cooperation at ENSIC Nancy with Dimitrios Meimaroglou and Razak Latifi.
Assoc. Prof. Radoslav Paulen (STUBA) showcased the EU project FrontSeat during the "Horizon Europe – Closer to You" event held on November 21-22, 2023. The event was organized by the Center for Scientific and Technical Information of the Slovak Republic, serving as the National Contact Point for Horizon Europe projects.
On Monday, November 13th, we had the opportunity to welcome our graduate, Ing. Michal Mateáš from Schaeffler Slovensko, s.r.o., for a guest lecture as part of the engineering course "Modeling in Process Industry."
The lecture's topic, "Mathematical modeling as a cornerstone in product development," revealed how modeling contributes to effective thermal management of the powertrain system in electric vehicles. Ing. Mateáš provided insights into the technical challenges and innovations encountered in the contemporary industry. It was an opportunity to learn about the theoretical aspects of modeling and its practical applications in an industrial environment.
We thank Ing. Mateáš for sharing his experiences and knowledge, and we look forward to future meetings!
As part of the Week of Science and Technology, the Ministry of Education, Science, Research, and Sport of the Slovak Republic awarded the Science and Technology Awards for the year 2023. In the category of Personality in Science and Technology under 35 years, the head of the Department of Information Technology and Process Management, our colleague Assoc. Prof. Ing. MSc. Martin Klaučo, PhD., received this award.
Congratulations, and thank you for promoting the good name of our institute!
The student magazine Radikal recently published an interesting interview (in Slovak) with Prof. Miroslav Fikar, the director of UIAM FCHPT STU.
