Job description, responsibilities and duties

- Installation and Commissioning of industrial Automation equipment including I/O checking, IEC1131 / PLC software commissioning to Final Acceptance.
- Programming and testing of various PLC systems (e.g. Simatic S7-400)
- HMI (SCADA) design (e.g. WinCC)
- Generation of software documentation.
- This job entails international travel and as such will require working away from home for betwen 3 and 6 months at a time.

Personality requirements and skills

At least 2 years of practical experience within the field of Industrial Automation is required.

Knowledge of Step 7 (CFC/SFC) or other IEC1131 programming language is required. Knowledge of a high level language (C/C++) is an advantage.

The job requires working in international teams and therefore the suitable candidate must be a team player with good communication and interpersonal skills. Problem solving and strong analytical abilities are required. We are looking for someone who is independant, inquisitive and keen to learn new skills.
